 Hi, I'm Jo.
I've been working as a Physio since 2002 and launched "Move More!" in 2013.
I'm passionate about seeing people with Neurological Impairments living life to the full!
Having worked in Hospital, Clinic, Community and Research settings I have journeyed with many people with a wide variety of Neurological conditions.

Stroke
With the right interventions, many people continue to make improvements in physical function for many months post stroke. I have many years of rehab experience, as well as contributing to several research projects investigating interventions to achieve best outcomes for people with physical impairments post stroke. We can work together to maximise your physical capacity and keep it into the long term.
Parkinson's Disease
The right type, intensity, and amount of exercise makes a huge difference for people with Parkinson's Disease. I have looked after many people with Parkinson's Disease in various settings over many years, including the delivery of group and individual exercise therapy. I have completed training in LSVT BIG®, and contributed to a research project developing a new assessment tool for gait and stability in PD. As well as exercise intervention, we can help with education, functional retraining, and falls-prevention strategies.
Vestibular disorders
I have recently worked in a specialist Vestibular clinic, and have successfully completed competency- based training and examinations in this area of practice. If you are suffering from vertigo, I can help to diagnose the cause, and reverse or manage the symptoms. We will use Infrared goggles to improve the ease and accuracy of this diagnosis and treatment. In some instances, such as with BPPV, vertigo can be an easily reversible problem; symptoms can resolve in 1-3 treatments. In other cases, for people who have impaired vestibular function, we can work together to adjust and retrain your gaze stability, balance, and function.
Motor Neurone Disease
I have helped a number of people adjust to and manage the effects of MND. There are many ways that Physiotherapy can be helpful along this journey.
